嵩高を去ること五万里、地の中なり。
   『禹本紀』も此れと同じ。高誘の称すらく、「河は崑山より出でゝ、地中を伏流す
  ること万三千里、禹 導きて之を通じ、積石山より出だす」と。『海山経』を按ずる
  に、崑崙より積石に至ること千七百四十里と。積石より隴西郡に出でゝ洛に至ること、
  『地志』に準れば五千余里可(ばか)り。又た『穆天子伝』を按ずるに、「天子 崑山
  より宗周に入り、乃ち西土の数を里するに、宗周の瀍水より以西、河宗の邦・陽紆
  の山に至ること、三千有四百里、陽紆より西して河首に至ること四千里」と。合せ
  て七千四百里。『外国図』に又た云はく、「大晋国より正西七万里にして、崑崙の
  墟を得。諸仙 之に居る」と。数説 同じからず。道は阻にして且つ長く、経記は緜
  褫にして、水陸 路殊(ことな)れば、径も復た同じからず。浅見・末聞にして、詳究
  する所に非らざるも、聊か聞見を述べ、以て差違を誌さゞる能はざるなり。

其の高さは万一千里。
   『海山経』に称すらく、「方八百里、高さ万仞」と。郭景純は以て「上より二千
  五百余里」と為す。『淮南子』に称すらく、「高さは万一千里百一十四歩三尺六寸」

  北して滄淵に朝(いた)る。驚波は沛獅オ、浮沫は揚奔す」と。『風俗通』に
  曰く、「江・河・淮・済を四瀆と為す。瀆は、通なり。中国の垢濁を通ずる
  所以」と。『白虎通』に曰く、「其の徳 著大。故に瀆と称す」と。『釈名』
  に曰く、「瀆は、独なり。各ゝ独り其の所より出でゝ海に入ればなり」と。

 崑崙については『山海経』のほうが記事も多く、興味深いかと。

毎度ありがとうございます。
私も早く『水経注』に取りかかりたいと思いつつ、
今のところ沔水あたりを何度か読み返してるところなんですが、
いかんせん体の数が足りません…。
『山海経』も結構ですね。あの記述は案外と馬鹿にならないですよ。
でも実際となると大変なのでは?この辺りに手を付け始めると、
とてつもなく手広くやらなきゃいけなくなるような気がします。

 書き下しまでの拙訳でお目汚しをにしております。
 以前にも申しましたが、水経注はやはり地図情報とセットではじめて有用な
ものになるものです。また澣典などの「1字検索」の可能なDBも必須ですね。
膨大な地名と引用は、やはりDBによる検索がないと全然使い物になりません。
蔵書の『水経注校釈』は横排繁体字で、固有名詞に傍線がないため、玄人向き
です。「注疏」は善いもののようですが、確かに値段が。

屈して其の東より南流し、渤海に入る。
   『山海経』に曰く、「南は即ち従極の淵なり。一に中極の淵と曰ふ。深
  さ三百仞。惟れ馮夷 焉に都す。〈『括地図』に曰く、「馮夷は恒に雲車に

そうですね。水系まで詳細に書き込まれた歴史地図と一緒でないと
その記述がどの地域について述べられているのかさっぱり分かりません。
譚其驤の『中国歴史地図集』はよくできた地図ですがその点にやや弱いですね。
しっかりした地図というと何がありますでしょうか?

もともと『水経注疏』を電子テキスト化しようと思い立ったのは、
この本を一字一句、全文検索できるようにと願ったからなのですが、
底本を日本で買えば8000円台、手の届かない範囲ではないものの、
『三国志集解』などよりも高いことを思えばやはり抵抗感がありますね。

水系まで詳細に書かれた地図としては楊守敬の『水経注図』しかないのですが、
これは現在入手が非常に困難で自分もかれこれ15年くらい頑張ってますが中
国書古本屋にさえ名前は出てきません↓ 楊守敬全集のうちの1巻は『水経注
図』に当てられてますが、これまた通常はセット購入ですから。。。

『水経注疏』は『水経注』をやるのであれば欠かせないものです。『水経注疏』
を参照しない『水経注』研究や翻訳はまったく成り立たないでしょう。たしかに
高いのですけど。

なるほど、『水経注図』の書名はよく見かけますが
その割には実際に売りに出ているところを見たことがないと思っていたら、
なんと流通量が少ないと、そういうことでしたか。
同じ書名で汪士鐸という学者が書いたものが3000円台で出てますね。
いずれこちらの方も入手する必要があるでしょうか。
『水経注疏』の方は比較的在庫に余裕があるようであちこちで見かけます。
ただやはり値段が…。最低8000円台は見積もっておかないと。

汪士鐸の『水経注図』はあまり使えません。『漢書』に従っている部分が多く、『水経
注』の記述をそれほど反映していない、という評があります。無論、参考できるならす
べきでしょうけれど。友人で楊守敬のものと間違って注文して、本が来てみたらがっか
りという人が数人^^;
『水経注疏』電子テキスト化されていたんですねぇ。台湾中央研究院でも一時、公開
状態になっていましたけれど、驚きました。 と、またも横レス失礼しました。
